This rooftop garden was in great need for a rejuvenation after the previous sod lawn was lost to the drought. The walled space of 225 sqft was transformed into a family lounge, containing a seating area with a fire feature and water-wise plants were installed. Side-anchored planter boxes were used to shift the load bearings to the walls, while deck framing was engineered to handle the concrete fire bowl. Clear cedar wood, playful colored planters, custom-made cushions and true-blue bluestone contribute to a warm and contemporary feeling for the garden.
